Date: July 8 - 13, 2018 (Closed)
Grades: 7 - 12, and adults

In 2018 the Bike Adventure will travel on the C & O Canal Towpath Bike Trail from Cumberland, MD to the Great Falls of the Potomac just north of Washington D. C. This 170 mile trail follows the old canal towpath and Potomac River through old canal towns and historical sites. Along the way we will visit the Civil War sites of Harper's Ferry and the Antietam Battlefield, as well as the Revolutionary War era Fort Frederick. j

Bikers will average 30 miles a day and tent in campgrounds. You will need to provide your own Mountain or Crossover bike for the trip - no fat tire bikes or BMX's. A support vehicle will travel along to help with tired cyclists and repairs. This camp begins Sunday at 1 p.m. and ends Friday at 7 p.m.

Bike Adventure is a joint effort by Camp Blue Diamond and Camp Harmony, a Church of the Brethren camp in Western PA. Dean Wenger from Camp Blue Diamond is the Trip Leader for Bike Camp, and Barron Deffinbaugh from Camp Harmony is the Bible Study Leader and drives the support vehicle.
