Jerri and her husband Dean have been the Executive Co-Directors of CBD since 1991. Jerri is an ordained minister in the Church of the Brethren and oversees ministry, programming and ACA accreditation. She is a Visitor for the American Camp Association, and a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren in Huntingdon. Jerri loves Scrabble, and to travel - especially to visit grandchildren, of which she has three.
Dean oversees business operations. He is a Visitor for the American Camp Association, and a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren in Huntingdon. Dean enjoys gardening, traveling, hiking and plays trombone for Brethren Brass. His idea of a perfect day is breakfast at the Waffle Shop and then taking a long walk in the woods.
Paul is CBD's Facilities Director. He oversees construction and renovation projects. Paul also oversees building, roads, grounds and maintenance. Paul worked at CBD in the mid 80's for a few years, and then joined the fulltime staff in 1991. Paul is a member of the Roaring Spring Church of the Brethren. He and his wife Julie are new grandparents. Paul enjoys golfing and does much of the leg work for the Brethren Open Golf Tournament.
Brian is CBD’s Program Director. He is a graduate of West Virginia University and has served as PD since 2008. Brian is responsible for training and overseeing the summer program staff and planning the fun things that happen at summer camp. Brian is a member of the Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren, and a Visitor for the American Camp Association. During the offseason, Brian oversees several retreats, and helps with housekeeping and maintenance duties. In his spare time Brian officiates high school and college football and softball games.
Amanda is CBD's Office Manager. She joined the CBD staff in 2016 after graduating from Eastern Mennonite University with a degree in Outdoor Ministries and Accounting. Before that she worked two summers as a counselor. Amanda is also the District Youth Coordinator for the Middle PA District, and a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren. When not in the office, Amanda helps with programming, housekeeping, maintenance and anywhere else she is needed. She is also a camp lifeguard and certified as a climbing tower facilitator.
Deb started at Camp Blue Diamond in the mid 80's as a part-time cook and bookkeeper. Eventually she became the full-time Food Service Director and Financial Secretary, and retired from camp after 35 years of service in August 2019. Deb loves to quilt, and still helps occasionally in the camp kitchen. Deb and her husband Jeff are members of the Spring Mount Church of the Brethren, where Jeff is the Pastor.
Shawnee is CBD's Food Service Director. She graduated from Penn State and was employed as a social worker for many years before operating her own restaurant in Petersburg for three years. Shawnee has four children and loves spending time with her grandchildren. Her daughter Sarah works as a cook in the Lodge kitchen too.
Sarah is a cook in the Kitchen during CBD's three busy seasons: spring outdoor school, summer camp and fall outdoor season. She has a great sense of humor and loves steak. She enjoys her nieces and nephews and likes to spoil them.
