Quilting and crafting are a lot like gardening. If things are sewn into the right places, beautiful images and patterns will emerge at the end of our hard work. As we craft, our brains feel less stress and more focus which keeps us healthy and growing. Please join us for a weekend of growth, fellowship, and fun at this year's Quilt and Craft Camp!
Whether you quilt, knit or crochet, scrapbook, paint, make jewelry, or whatever other crafty things you do, bring your projects with you and work on them over the weekend! There will also be time for an optional guided workshop on a specific project. Delicious food and lodging will be provided.
The retreat begins Friday at 7 pm (move in as early as 6 pm) We'll conclude Sunday at 1 pm. Cost for the full weekend is $100 or $60 for Saturday only.
Join us for our Spring Migration “Breakfast with the Birds” morning at Camp Blue Diamond. Gabe Imler will lead us around Camp looking for bird species that are passing through Rothrock State Forest. Back by popular demand, come down the night before for a night hike! Gabe will lead a night hike filled with all sorts of nighttime programing with a snack to follow. Lodging will be provided, so you can stay and join us for the walk the next morning! Cost for both Friday and Saturday is $40 per Person
All ages and skill levels welcome! Feel free to bring your own binoculars and field guides
People of all ages are invited to join us for a day of fellowship, inspiration, adventure and fun as we gather to see and hear about some amazing local history from Byron Smail.
While Byron's day job may be running his landscaping business, his passion rests in sharing local history. Byron has written two books on the area's unique history in the Iron industry. His books Iron Furnaces of the Cove and Blair County Iron explore many of the iron furnaces that were so common in the 1800s.
Byron will share not only the history of these iron furnaces, but also about the influence the furnaces had on the area and the impact that the workers made in America. Any fan of local history will be fascinated to hear about this area's rich history in the iron industry.
Registration begins at 9 am. We will have a time of worship and singing and time with Byron before lunch. Then in the afternoon there will be time for activities of your choosing: camp tour, climbing the climbing tower and zipline, craft, and relaxing. Cost for the day is $20 and includes a morning snack, programming and lunch. You can register by sending in the flyer below or clicking the "Register now" button.
