Brian is CBD’s new Executive Director. He is a graduate of West Virginia University and served as Program Director since 2008 before becoming Executive in 2022. Brian is a member of the Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren, and a Visitor for the American Camp Association. Brian oversees the overall operation of Camp, including business and programming. He is also a certified lifeguard and climbing tower facilitator and inspector.
Paul is CBD's Facilities Director. He oversees construction and renovation projects. Paul also oversees building, roads, grounds and maintenance. Paul worked at CBD in the mid 80's for a few years, and then joined the fulltime staff in 1991. Paul is a member of the Roaring Spring Church of the Brethren. He and his wife Julie are new grandparents. Paul enjoys golfing and does much of the leg work for the Brethren Open Golf Tournament.
Gabe is CBD’s new Program Director. He oversees and trains the summer staff as well as planning for summer camp and retreats in the offseason. Gabe is a lifelong Camp Blue Diamond fan, having attended as a camper, counselor, and naturalist. Gabe is passionate about the Natural World, and never hesitates to stop and point out a bird or share another piece of nature knowledge. He is a member of the Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren, and is also pursuing ordination through the Church of the Brethren.
Amanda is CBD's Office Administrator. She joined the CBD staff in 2016 after graduating from Eastern Mennonite University with a degree in Outdoor Ministries and Accounting. Amanda is also the District Youth Coordinator for the Middle PA District, and a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren. When not in the office, Amanda helps with programming, housekeeping, maintenance and anywhere else she is needed. She is also a camp lifeguard and certified as a climbing tower facilitator.
Shawnee is CBD's Food Service Director. She graduated from Penn State and was employed as a social worker for many years before operating her own restaurant in Petersburg for three years. Shawnee has four children and loves spending time with her grandchildren. Her daughter Sarah works as a cook in the Lodge kitchen too.
Sarah is a cook in the Kitchen during CBD's three busy seasons: spring outdoor school, summer camp and fall outdoor season. She has a great sense of humor and loves steak. She enjoys her nieces and nephews and likes to spoil them.
